Who we are:

At Civitas Architecture Inc., we pursue projects that challenge us, are meaningful to the communities we live in, and promote environmental sustainability. Civitas has an extensive and diverse portfolio executed as Prime Consultant, including award-winning design projects, implemented across Ottawa, Gatineau, and eastern Ontario. Our projects range from small renovations to complex design projects. Our core client base is government and public institutional organizations at the federal, provincial, and municipal levels and increasingly working on urban housing projects.

We promote our work under the name, Civitas Group, Architecture & Landscape Architecture which reflects our commitment to integrated design.

You will be working closely with our two Senior Landscape Architects who have completed compelling built work both big and small. In our portfolio, we have studies that address contemporary concerns in heritage conservation, universal accessibility, and designing for biodiversity. Among our more complex projects are the Parliament Hill Escarpment Stairway and Site Rehabilitation project which received the Canadian Society of Landscape Architect Award of Excellence in 2018, the Ottawa Courthouse Green Roof, and landscape rehabilitation along the Trent-Severn Waterway National Historic Site related to the construction of ten new stoplogs dams.
