Landscape Architectural Intern / Landscape Designer

adesso design inc. is looking to add a Landscape Architectural Intern / Designer to our Hamilton Design Studio. The successful candidate will provide support to senior staff on a wide range of projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A Landscape Architectural Intern/Designer will be expected to successfully undertake the following roles and responsibilities:

• Work under the direct supervision of a Project Manager.
• Work collaboratively within a team structure that includes Landscape Architectural Interns/Designers, Project Managers, Senior Associates, Partners and specialized Administrative and Support Staff.
• Assist in the production of presentation materials, illustrations and precedent images using office software and systems.
• Assist in the production of Design and Detail Drawings for Municipal Approvals.
• Assist in the preparation of Cost Estimates.
• Assist in the preparation, distribution and monitoring of project correspondence to/from project Consultants, Municipal Staff, Jurisdictional Authorities & others.
• Maintain project files including the organization of drawings, reports and project correspondence.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 0-3 years experience in a professional office or design build environment with either a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, Master of Landscape Architecture or a Diploma in Landscape Technology from an accredited Technical College or similar institution.
• ISA Certification would be considered an asset

SKILLS + KNOWLEDGE

• High level of proficiency required in: AutoCAD (latest version) / Photoshop / Microsoft Office
• Additional proficiencies may include: LAND-FX / Revit / Sketch-up / 3D Software / In-Design / PowerPoint
