Landscape Planning Limited is currently seeking a talented and motivated Landscape Contract Administrator to join our dedicated team of professionals.

Our office is an award-winning team of professionals dedicated to providing innovative landscape architectural solutions. Our wide-ranging municipal and private developer portfolio includes a diverse mix of park / recreation facility master planning and design, subdivision design, open space/trail planning and design, residential condominium/mixed-use design and the design of commercial and industrial landscapes. Our Firm is currently engaged in some of the largest municipal landscape projects in southwestern Ontario. We are looking for a candidate that will strengthen our contract administration team and play a key role in the successful build-out of these community assets.

Candidate Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a project construction environment and will ideally have strong communication and time management skills and the confidence and motivation to take on new challenges.

Minimum requirements for this position include:

  • Post Secondary Education, Degree or Diploma in an applicable field
  • Experience in construction inspection and contract administration services; experience in municipal capital infrastructure is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of landscape construction including planting, grading, details, specifications, and cost estimating.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess and maintain a valid Class "G" Driver's License, access to a personal vehicle

Candidate Asset Preferred but not required

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) designation
  • Eligibility or working towards full OALA membership (or equivalent)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in technical plans review
  • Assist with the production of contract documents including drawings, details, specifications and bid forms.
  • Attend and chair project site meetings; produce meeting minutes
  • Prepare detailed site inspection reports
  • Coordinate with sub-consultants, clients and contractors
  • Review of shop drawings
  • Completion and coordination of construction close-out documents
