OALA HONOURS Reception is an evening to celebrate OALA AWARD recipients and appreciate the efforts of volunteers who have contributed throughout the year.

Join us at The Loft in the Distillery for the following!

• 4:00 pm - 5:15 pm - Historic walk of the Distillery led by David Leinster, OALA and Michael Ormston - Holloway, OALA (Must attend the Reception to participate)

David and Michael have been working with the owners of the Distillery District since 2003 helping to create a four-season public realm that seamlessly integrates the new development projects with the existing heritage fabric. This tour will be jointly given by the landscape architects, and joined by Jamie Goad, an owner, architect, city-builder and visionary. It will be a balanced and exciting showcasing of work, including the design of the District's laneways, courtyards, streets and servicing areas, while embracing and repurposing elements of the industrial heritage as contemporary expressions. Working in the former industrial site presented both design and technical challenges that informed the creation of these opportunistic, episodic series of public spaces that are seasonally programmed; always changing and fun to explore.

• 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm - Outside cocktail reception with entertainment (Must attend the reception to participate) In case of rain, the reception will be moved upstairs into the loft.
• 6:45 pm - 7:15 pm - Inside Awards Ceremony
• 7:15 pm to 7:45 pm - Entertainment
