Green13 and PHP4 Climate Action, in conjunction with Swansea Town Hall, invite you to join us for a free event surrounding the theme of Toronto's Biodiversity. We are excited to include a number of organizations who will be tabling and providing information as well as two speakers who will provide insight into the City's efforts to promote Biodiversity.
Jane Welsh has worked with the City of Toronto for over 30 years, utilizing her educational background in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning, as a Project Manager of Environmental Policy. She recently attended COP15 also known as the 2022 United Nations Biodiversity Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity in Montreal, which led to the international agreement to protect 30% of land and oceans by 2030 and the adoption of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework
Teresa Bosco has worked with the City of Toronto for over 20 years as a Manager in Forest Policy and Planning. Her role includes working to protect and enhance the urban forest, developing and coordinating implementation of forestry policy, and responsibilities of quality assurance within the forestry branch.
We look forward to a lively discussion about the past, current, and future actions of the City and individuals in response to what biodiversity means for urban areas.
