We’re looking for an Intermediate Landscape Architect who is excited to design, manage projects, collaborate, and get their hands dirty bringing great ideas to life.

Think bike rides along the canal, neighbourhood cafés, incredible parks and trails, summer festivals, skating in the Rideau Canal and the ability to get out of the city and into nature remarkably quickly.

It’s a pretty great place to draw your next site plan.

What You’ll Do

You’ll play a key role across the full project lifecycle, including:

• Developing project concepts and design solutions.
• Leading detailed design and technical documentation.
• Preparing reports, presentations, graphics, and contract documents.
• Managing projects and coordinating clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Preparing compelling responses to RFPs and helping win new work.
• Supporting construction administration and conducting site inspections.
• Guiding and mentoring team members.
• Working closely with Senior Landscape Architects and experienced staff.
• Contributing ideas and leadership to the continued growth of CSW.

In other words: you won’t be stuck in one corner of a project. You’ll see your work through from start to finish.

What You Bring

You’re an intermediate landscape architect who combines design thinking with practical project delivery. You’ll bring:

• An undergraduate or master’s degree in landscape architecture, a related design discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Min. 5 years of professional experience.
• OALA membership is a requirement, while AAPQ membership is considered an asset.
• Strong project management.
• Experience working multidisciplinary projects.
• The ability to juggle multiple projects and competing deadlines.
• Experience with detailed design, tender documentation, and construction administration.
• Strong written, verbal, and graphic communication skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
• A valid driver’s licence.

Experience with SketchUp, Lumion, or Revit is an asset. Canadian experience and particularly experience in the National Capital Region is also an asset. Bilingual English/French communication skills are a strong asset. Most importantly, you’re someone who enjoys designing, collaborating, solving problems, and seeing great work become real places.
