Your New Role:

We are looking for a talented and driven Intern - Junior Landscape Architect to join our dynamic studio in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for bringing innovative design solutions to life and contributing to a variety of exciting projects. You’ll have the chance to leverage your creativity, attention to detail, and expertise in construction documentation and project management. Your strong passion for landscape architecture, a positive attitude, and openness to new ideas, will be essential to your success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively contribute to the development of our projects through collaboration, support and attention to detail.
  • Strong time management, critical thinking and organization skills.
  • Create and coordinate high-quality illustrations, 3D renderings, and presentation materials.
  • Support good practices and established policies on project delivery and quality.
  • Work independently, and with all team members and to meet deadlines.
  • Assist in site analysis, research, and conceptual design development.
  • Support the preparation of design drawings, renderings, and presentation materials.
  • Help develop construction documents, including planting plans, grading, and layout plans.
  • Conduct research on materials, plants, and sustainable practices.
  • Assist in preparing reports, cost estimates, and proposals.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute creative ideas.
  • Conduct field visits and site assessments, as needed.
  • Stay updated with trends in landscape architecture and sustainable design.

Qualifications

We are looking for an enthusiastic Intern with the following qualifications and skills:

  • Graduate of an accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree in a Landscape Architecture or equivalent program.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience with detailed design projects.
  • Knowledge of construction methods and plant materials.
  • Ability to prepare high-quality design work and presentations.
  • Proficiency with computer program including AutoCAD, Vectorworks, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and Lumion.
  • Live within a one-hour commute to Dundas, Ontario.
  • Valid drivers license and passport will be an asset.
