Your New Role:

We are looking for a talented and driven Senior Landscape Architect to join our dynamic and collaborative studio in an in-office, full-time capacity. In this role, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for bringing innovative design solutions to life and contributing to a variety of exciting projects from rewilding, to residential and institutional. You’ll have the opportunity to leverage your creativity, attention to detail, and expertise in construction documentation and project management. A positive attitude, openness to new ideas, and ability to multitask and prioritize will be essential to your success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee design consistency and excellence from concept through to construction completion.
  • Prepare and review accurate, detailed working drawing packages and construction documentation.
  • Lead project management for multiple complex projects.
  • Assist in coordination with clients, consultants and internal teams.
  • Create and coordinate high-quality illustrations, 3D renderings, and presentation materials.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships as well as architects and allied industry professionals.
  • Conduct on-site reviews to ensure design integrity and project quality.
  • Contribute to a positive and team oriented studio culture.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff.

Qualifications

We are looking for a Landscape Architect with the following qualifications and skills:

  • Graduate of a university program in Landscape Architecture or equivalent,
  • Full membership (seal and certificate) in the OALA or equivalent organization.
  • Minimum of 7 years working experience as a Landscape Architect after your seal was obtained.
  • A preference for candidates with detailed construction, working drawing knowledge and excellence.
  • Exceptional custom design and technical expertise.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods and plant materials for northern climate frost zones.
  • Proven ability to inspire, guide and motivate junior colleagues.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Vectorworks, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and Lumion.
  • Proficient time management skills and flexibility in adjusting between a variety of duties with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Live within a one-hour commute to Dundas, this is an in-office position.
  • Travel to a variety of sites is required. A valid drivers’ licence and current passport are an asset.
