Join Janet Rosenberg, OALA on a walking tour of the Royal Botanical Gardens. The Royal Botanical Gardens is the largest botanical garden in Canada, a National Historic Site, and a registered charitable organization. The garden includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees! Responsible for the Rock Garden Rejuvenation, Janet Rosenburg & Studio won the following awards:
2017 CSLA National Award of Excellence
2017 National Trust for Canada, Ecclesiastical Insurance Cornerstone Award
2017 City of Hamilton Urban Design and Architecture Award (UDAA) of Excellence for a Public Building

Tour details:

Saturday September 14th

Meet at the entrance to the Rock Gardens @ 10am

Parking is across the street

Janet has generously volunteered to cover everyone's admission fee.

She's also organized for the RBG to provide us with a brief introduction about the grounds generally, how they've evolved over the past and are continuing to change with an overview of their current Master Plan.

After the tour, there's lots to do there from other gardens (the Laking Gardens, and Hendrie Park to the east, and the Arboretum to the west) and dining (bistro, cafe, and tea house).
