Let’s Address the Elephant in the Room: OALA’s Journey Towards a Landscape Architect Practice Act

Since 2016, OALA has been on a lengthy journey to secure a Landscape Architect Practice Act. On Wednesday, February 28 at noon, members are invited to join the Practice Legislation Committee (PLC) to learn about our efforts to date and plans for the future.

In December 2023, we released our comprehensive report, How the Ontario Government Can Better Protect Our Province, to all OALA members and MPPs. The document outlines our request for a Landscape Architects Practice Act and provides clear examples of the value of the updated legislation for Ontarians.
 
Following a brief presentation from Glenn O’Connor, PLC Chair, and Shawn Watters, OALA Councillor, we will welcome panelists from PLC to take questions from attendees on all topics regarding this initiative.
