OALA By-Law Amendments Webinar

On Wednesday, April 10 at noon, members are invited to join the By-law Review Task Force to learn about proposed changes to the OALA By-law to comply with the Ontario Not-for-Profit Corporations Act (ONCA).

In 2023, Council created the By-Law Review Task Force to ensure compliance with ONCA, and to improve and modernize the OALA By-Law.

Key improvements

• Reflects changes in OALA governance since last by-law update in 2018.
• Brings OALA By-Law in line with current policies and procedures.
• Modernizes and simplifies the OALA By-law.
• Better reflects the requirements of the OALA Act.

The new OALA By-Law must be approved by ordinary resolution (majority vote) at the Annual General Meeting of OALA members to be held on April 25, 2024.
