Reporting to the Supervisor of Parks Design and Development, the Coordinator of Parks Design and Development is part of a dynamic team of professionals. The Coordinator is responsible for a full range of project specific tasks for Park Capital Projects including but not limited to: preparation of quotes for consulting for construction services, design preparation, preparation and review of details and specifications, contract administration, tracking and controlling project costs.
The Coordinator provides project management for a wide variety of projects such as playground redevelopments, new park design and development, new trail construction or rehabilitation, low impact development and naturalized landscape plantings, sports field and lighting projects as well as many other unique projects designed in-house or through the services of a Consultant.
Other responsibilities include organizing and assisting with public consultations, assisting with the park inventory and related GIS database and providing assistance to the Design and Construction Teams as required.

WAGE/SALARY RANGE: $40.44 to $50.55 per hour (based on a 35 hour work week) plus benefits.
