Intermediate Landscape Architect / Designer

byPATH is seeking an enthusiastic, creative and self-motivated individual to join our team as an Intermediate Landscape Architect / Designer, working in a remote capacity.

As an experienced professional, you will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity, design, organization and project management skills while working on wide range of both development-based and residential projects. 

You will play a key role in advancing projects from concept through construction, and be responsible for design development, consultant coordination, and technical documentation while managing junior staff members.

YOUR EXPERIENCE HERE

As an Intermediate Landscape Architect / Designer, you will be given the support to thrive in a dynamic environment.  You will manage a range of project types including: estate residential and single family home designs, as well as commercial and industrial sites, high-rise developments, infill properties, subdivisions, naturalization sites, multi-tenant buildings, renovation properties and more! 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the production of designs and working drawing packages, details, specifications and presentation materials, using AutoCAD and other design software, working alongside Senior Landscape Architects
• Management of project timelines and assigning project components to junior staff members
• Supervise junior staff members and actively review their work
• Coordinate and collaborate with consultant teams and agencies / stakeholders
• Communicate with clients and assist Senior Landscape Architects in making presentations
• Participate in client / consultant meetings
• Assist in contract administration, including: site inspections, reports and documentation, change orders, payment certification and close-out process
• Ensure deliverables meet strict quality and regulatory standards

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS: 

Because this position is fully remote, we are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual who excels at proactive communication, while coordinating effectively internally, and with multidisciplinary consultant teams, with the following requirements:

• Completed Degree in Landscape Architecture 
• Minimum 4 years experience in a professional Landscape Architectural office in Ontario
• Registered Landscape Architect (OALA) or actively pursuing licensure
• Exceptional technical skills and proficiency with AutoCAD and other company provided design software
• Ability to manage time and junior staff members effectively across multiple projects
• A practical thinker and problem solver 
• Strong attention to detail
• Thorough knowledge of plant material and typical industry standard materials (pavers, retaining walls, site furnishings etc)
• Excellent written, graphic, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently remotely 
• Class ‘G’ driver’s license in good standing with a vehicle is an asset
