Summary: The Landscape Designer is responsible for designing functional and visually striking landscapes that reflect both client needs and the LandArt design standard. This role supports the full cycle of design development from concept renderings and proposal drawings to construction-ready details and permitting, ensuring projects progress smoothly and maintain the highest level of quality.

Hours: 8 AM – 5 PM

Reports to: Director of Design

Job Duties:

  • Prepare clear and compelling 3D renders for proposal presentations
  • Support client decision-making by illustrating multiple project pathways
  • Deliver complete and polished detailed design packages that meet LandArt’s standards of excellence
  • Specify all materials, finishes, and product details ahead of presentations
  • Confirm above specifications with client ahead of construction
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and key partners to ensure functional and regulatory design requirements are met
  • Prepare and submit accurate permit applications
  • Develop complete construction drawing packages
  • Provide revisions ahead of construction milestones
  • Participate in weekly project review meetings to ensure design intent is upheld
  • Participate in internal weekly meetings and be accountable to weekly metrics

Requirements:

  • Degree in Landscape Architecture, or diploma / certification in Landscape Design, or related discipline
  • Proficiency in CAD and 3D design software (e.g., SketchUp, SketchUp Layout, Lumion, etc.)
  • Knowledge of landscape construction standards, plant materials, and local permitting processes
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic project team
  • Strong attention to detail and passion for high-quality design
  • CRM Experience, CoConstruct, EOS familiarity an asset
  • Time management skills
  • Speak, read, and write English

Key Results Area:

  • Achieve an internal design rating of 8 or higher

Work Location: In person

Additional pay:

  • Bonus pay

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
