Affiliate Membership

Affiliate status in the Association is intended for persons who are interested in the profession of landscape architecture and have contributed to its study, appreciation, or practice. Affiliates of the Association are not permitted to use the designation “landscape architect”, nor are they eligible to hold office or serve on Council. Affiliates are eligible to serve on committees.

OALA only has individual memberships thus the person rather than a firm becomes the Affiliate member.

Affiliate member benefits include:

• Receive OALA updates including newsletters and information on upcoming events
• Be among the first to learn about sponsorship and advertising opportunities
• Opportunity to list Lunch and Learns on the OALA Affiliate Member Lunch and Learn page
• Listing of member name on the Membership Directory

Application Process

To begin the application process, please sign up for an account.

All applications are reviewed by the OALA Examining Board.

Once reviewed by the Board, the recommendation of the Board is approved at the next Council Meeting.

The Registrar contacts all applicants after the Council vote on the Examining Board’s recommendations.
